Welcome to the world beautiful little girl…Introducing miss Emily {2 weeks old}. She came to see me to have her newborn portraits and she didn’t want to miss a thing! Emily made me work hard, but you’d never know from these images. Eventually she gave in and we were able to get some amazing images of her gorgeous face! She is such a beautiful baby!

I always try to encourage parents to bring in their little ones at first 5-10 days for their newborn sessions. This is so we can capture their newness and curly little body, and all their tiny features before they change. I also do this so they are still super sleepy and content. This isn’t to say older babies aren’t content and sleepy, but they tend to be more aware and do not transition as nicely between setups.

Having portraits taken of your newborn is so incredibly important. Your baby will only be a newborn for a few short weeks, but these images will last a lifetime.

The ideal time to book your newborn session is while you are still pregnant (after your twenty week scan). Babies are best photographed in the first 10 days of their new little lives. This time frame allows me to capture your new arrival in the curly poses.
